Beginner’s Guide to Rusty’s Retirement

Welcome to Rusty’s Retirement! If you’re new to the game and have questions about gameplay mechanics, you’ve come to the right place. Here’s a beginner’s guide to help you get started.

A Beginner’s Guide For Rusty’s Retirement

Scrolling on Your Farm:

To see more of your farm, simply hold down the right mouse button and scroll back and forth. This allows you to explore different areas and manage your farm more effectively.

The Gold Cog on Rusty’s Barn:

Click on the gold cog multiple times to earn Spare Parts currency. This currency is valuable for various upgrades and purchases throughout the game.

Moving Buildings:

If you need to relocate a building after placing it, access the “Buildings” tab and locate the move button next to the bulldozer icon. Select the building or plot you want to move, then choose the new location. Keep in mind that moving buildings takes time, and Rusty or Haiku will handle the relocation process.

Expanding Your Farm:

You can unlock more land to expand your farm by accessing the grayed-out tiles on either side. Click on the bulldozer icon to see the Spare Parts cost to unlock each area. Once unlocked, Rusty or Haiku will clear out the junk, and the area will become green grass ready for building.

Handling Giant Crops:

Giant crops have a random chance of spawning and can be harvested by clicking on them multiple times. Keep in mind that moving the crop patch will delete any crops planted on it, so plan your farm layout carefully.

Attracting Bulblets to Berry Bushes:

Build a Bulb Hive within the radius of your berry bushes to attract bulblets. These creatures will help with the growth of your berry bushes, enhancing your farming efficiency.

Harvesting Berries:

To harvest berries, you’ll need to build a Berry Bot. These bots pick berries and carry them to storage units. Remember that Harvest Bots will not harvest berry bushes, so ensure you have Berry Bots in place.

Efficient Layouts and Harvesting:

Experiment with layouts to maximize efficiency on your farm. Consider the placement of buildings and crops to streamline your operations. To harvest large plants like pumpkins and tomatoes, simply click on them multiple times. This action should yield the desired results.

Understanding Focus Mode:

Focus Mode in the game doubles production times, allowing players to slow down the pace and manage their farm with less frequent attention. While in Focus Mode, crops grow slower, buildings take longer to construct, and other actions are extended. This feature is useful when players want to balance gameplay with real-life commitments.

Bulblets and Butterflies:

To attract more bulblets to your farm, build a Bulb Hive within the radius of your crops. This will encourage the growth of these helpful creatures. Conversely, butterflies can be attracted using signs obtained from the decoration buddy.

Managing Splunk’s House:

If Splunk isn’t tending to vacant plots, it may indicate a bug in the game. Consider restarting or contacting support for assistance with this issue.

Rotating Objects:

Unfortunately, there is currently no option to rotate objects in the game. Players must position items carefully during placement.

This beginner’s guide covers some of the essential gameplay mechanics in Rusty’s Retirement. As you progress in the game, you’ll encounter more features and challenges. Don’t hesitate to ask questions and seek advice from fellow players in the community. Happy farming!
